1．啟動過程中出現“Not enough memory to…”的錯誤信息怎麼辦
問：計算機在啟動過程中沒有反應，有時顯示了如下信息：“Not enough Memory to convert the drive to FAT32 To free Memory，REM al l statements in the AUTOEXEC.BAT and the CONFIG.SYS files.”。該怎樣解決?
答：一般來說，此信息出現在將硬盤轉化到FAT32格式時，當所要轉換的硬盤上目錄的結構太大，沒有足夠的常規內存來存放時就會觸發此錯誤。建議優化內存，盡量將在Config.sys和Autoexec.bat兩個文件中的內存駐留程序裝入高端，以獲得更多的常規內存。
2.啟動Windows 98時出現“Cannot find a device file that…”的錯誤怎麼辦
問：電腦在啟動中出現了“Cannot find a device file that may be needed to IMn Windows or a Windows application.The Windows Registry or System.ini refers to this device file but the device file no longer exists．If you deleted this file on purpose，try uninstalling the associated application using its uninstall program or setup program．If you still want to use the appfication associated with this device file，try reinstalling that application to replace that missing file．”錯誤信息。為什麼會出現這種信息，該怎樣處理?
答：發生這種故障的原因主要是在System.ini文件或注冊表中涉及到的虛擬設備驅動程序(VxD)不存在或受到了損壞，或者在注冊表中的某個靜態VxD值中包含了不正確的數據。首先按照錯誤信息中的建議去解決，如果隻部分刪除了要刪除的應用程序，就要全部卸載這個程序，最好的辦法是重新安裝再運行反安裝程序，如果沒有反安裝程序，則應參考應用程序的參考手冊中提供的方法全部卸載。如果在錯誤信息中提示的文件屬於還要保留的應用程序，就重新安裝這個應用程序。如果還不正常，則要編輯注冊表。刪除在注冊表中所有的錯誤信息。注冊表是Windows 98的重要文件，如受到損壞，Windows 98將不能工作，在對其進行任何修改前都應備份。
