同義辯析：abandon desert forsake quit
都含有“放棄”、“遺棄”的意思。
abandon 強調“完全、永遠地遺棄”, 尤其是指遺棄以前感興趣或負有責任的人或物, 如:

desert 強調“違背誓言、命令、責任、義務等”, 如:
